THE FAMILY REPERTORY COMPANY

The Family Repertory Company is committed to providing the finest in performance arts through its ensemble of brilliant artists. Since being founded by Marvin F. Camillo, Sr. (aka Pancho) during the 70’s, it has always been a company committed to creating a community for artists and an outlet for creative expression.  Marvin Sr. literally changed the face of New York City theatre by giving a voice to those who had never had a place at the table before.

Now under the direction of Executive Artistic Director Marvin F. Camillo Valentine, or Panchito, his son, the legacy continues as we bring together artists and audiences of all ages, from all cultures and backgrounds to share their stories.  Marvin brings his long-standing love of the arts along with business experience ranging from hospitality through club management and more.

The Family Repertory Company has presented musical cabarets, series of short stories and various other theatrical performances in Manhattan, Staten Island, New Jersey and Westchester County.  We also teach workshops in movement, voice, improvisation, audition technique and social media savvy.  We partner with various churches, community centers and arts organizations to help bring the arts to all who are interested.

As of 2019, Traci Timmons is now co-Artistic Director of the company where she has served since 2016 as a Human Resources Director and Musical Director.  With her background in both theatre production and education she heads the artistic team in charge of “The Crucifixion” and other community outreach.  Each year, we invite our entire company to join the cast, so that seasoned actors, dancers and singers may stretch themselves in ways they have not before, while it is also the opportunity for new members and less experienced artists to work with the team to learn the craft of creating a musical theatre piece in a nurturing yet professional environment.

The Administrative Team is rounded out by Kimberly T. Hernandez, ,our publicity and marketing guru whose talents keep us on the forefront of the social media scene and Elizabeth Marcano, who most recently was elevated to our Community Relations Ambassador.  She is a dynamo when it comes to bringing people together and making them feel an integral part of the team.
